Traveler Remote Access from Home, School or Work

Remote access to Traveler Online Database is provided as a service to libraries as well individual residents of Arkansas

Since this service is reserved for state residents, no online registration is available to the general public. Users must first visit their local Arkansas Traveler affiliated library (academic, public, school or special) to request remote access information.

With remote access, an Arkansas resident may now access any Traveler database from home, office, or other remote site. Simply ask as your affiliate library about how the library has set up remote access.

Arkansas libraries have various methods: 1) log-in authorization to the library web page; 2) log-in using a library card number, or 3) the library can provide you with User IDs and/or passwords with the database web address.

Remote Access Policy

The Traveler Online Databases provides a wide range of quality research information licensed for Arkansas library users. Materials include magazine articles, newspapers, encyclopedias, and other reference sources. Access is granted to all Arkansas citizens at academic, public, school and special libraries as well as provided remote access from residents’ homes or offices.

A Traveler user may not sell, distribute or commercially exploit a product. While setting up links to database URLs, individual libraries cannot display remote access codes on a web page that can be accessed by any non-Arkansas resident.. Misuse of services provided by Traveler may result in denial of service.

A Traveler user must have Internet access. A General knowledge of web browser and simple search forms are recommended.
